PEER Consultants, P.C. conducted hazardous materials sampling and testing of suspected asbestos containing materials (ACM) for the Fort Worthington Elementary School Renovations and Addition Project in Baltimore, MD.
PEER collected and analyzed bulk samples of suspect ACM for the locations identified in the Hazardous Materials Site Survey report. PEER collected three samples of window sealant for analysis of polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) content and collected three soil samples from the area around the fuel oil tank on the exterior western wall of the recreation center. The soil samples were sent for laboratory analysis and they were analyzed for volatile organic compounds (VOCs), semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs) and total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH).
The results of the sampling and laboratory analysis were summarized in a report that included copies of the laboratory analysis, diagrams indicating the location of the samples, photographs of the materials sampled, quantities of hazardous materials, and estimated costs for abatement of these materials.
